Today Derek describes that justification is “to be made righteous.” At the cross, Jesus made an exchange on our behalf. The sinless, spotless, righteous One became our sin and took our judgment. Then He gave us His own righteous, sinless perfection. It’s now just-as-if-we’d never sinned and it comes by faith in Him.

Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection—His total defeat of Satan—we have been delivered out of the power of darkness. Jesus has given us authority over all of Satan’s forces, and we have been sent forth to administer His victory. Since we are in the kingdom of God, we have the authority of God vested in us.

The early church proclaimed the good news of the kingdom of God —that Jesus was resurrected as King. This didn’t sit well with the political and religious leaders of that time and continuously caused problems. The real problem, though, was that the church was right and the religious leaders needed to listen and to bow their knees.

In this revealing message Derek explains that those who wait for the Lord receive an impartation of divine supernatural strength. He shows us how this proved true in the life of Abraham, and what happened when Abraham didn’t wait on God. The results produced because he was willing to “wait” were radically different from the results produced when he did not. It’s an unforgettable picture!

Today we find out that it is not enough to know the truth—we must also believe the truth. Knowing is in the mind, but belief is in the heart. Accept the fact that unbelief is a sin—and it is an evil that keeps us from what God has ordained for us.

As Derek proceed with his teaching on our identification with Christ, he points out that the Father sent Christ. The Father gave Jesus the words to speak and God performed His works through Jesus. To see Jesus was to see the Father. In the same way, Jesus has sent us out.

Christians often have an incorrect view of poverty. Derek shows us that poverty is part of the curse. In fact, on the cross Jesus experienced absolute poverty: He was hungry, thirsty, naked and in want of all things. His suffering made way for us to receive the abundance that was due to Him.

Jesus became our substitute by taking all of the evil that was due to our rebelliousness and sin—that we might receive all the good that was due to His eternal righteousness and complete obedience. What an exchange took place!

Today Derek states, “God is a lot bigger than any denomination. He’s a lot bigger than our understanding. He’s a lot bigger than all our prejudices. Don’t make God so small that He can’t help you. Incline your ear and let Him tell you how much He’s willing to do for you.” That’s the essence of receiving your healing. Listen closely. God’s Word can save you, heal you, and bless you in innumerable ways.

Today Derek looks at our debt to Israel. What is the position of the Christian church in relation to the Jewish nation? Throughout much of history Jews have been persecuted in the name of Christ, and Derek comments on what needs to be done to undo the effects of these experiences.
